Snyder 1500 Gallon Vertical Water Tank (32541)
Snyder Industries makes rotomoulded polyethylene tanks. Its opaque black and green vertical water tanks are a cylinder with a domed top on a flat base. Snyder publishes dimensions and drawings but no inches-to-gallons chart.

Gallons by the inch
Snyder Industries publishes no inches-to-gallons chart. Across the straight part of the wall, each inch of depth in a 65 in diameter tank holds about 14.4 gal — an approximation, because the printed diameter is an outside figure and rotomoulded walls are not perfectly straight. Near the top the dome holds less per inch. The moulded gallon marks on the tank wall are the maker's own reference.

- Discrepancy: web table diameter 65" vs drawing Ø64.0; drawing BOM names the shell '1500V X 65 RP'. Web height 114" vs drawing overall 116.3. Recorded as printed.

How to measure the level in this tank
- Open the lid on the top of the tank.
- Put a clean, straight stick through the opening until it touches the floor of the tank. Keep the stick vertical.
- Remove the stick and read the wet line in inches.
- Find the depth in the table below.
- If the tank has moulded gallon marks, compare the result with the marks.
- Close the lid to keep out light, dirt and insects.
Approximate gallons by depth
The table uses the 65 in published diameter. It stops at about 103.9 in, which is the drawing height to the top of the sidewall. Snyder's drawing does not give the dome height separately from the lid, so we do not model the top.
